Sedation Dentistry
Nervous About Your Visit? Try Sedation Dentistry.
If you’re feeling a little anxious about your upcoming visit to the dentist, don’t worry – you’re not alone! In fact, Stats Canada shows that 40% of Canadians put off their dental visits out of fear or anxiety.
But when you put off visiting the dentist, the costs can be high. When you treat issues like cavities early, it’s much less expensive and much less painful than if you wait for those issues to get worse. So if you’re losing sleep over your dental issues, give us a call. We’ll listen, and explain your options in a no-pressure environment.
What is Sedation Dentistry?
Also known as “laughing gas,” at Dr. Ha & Associates, we only use nitrous oxide for sedation. It’s safer and easier on the body than other, deeper sedation options.
According to the American Dental Association, it’s safe and effective at reducing anxiety and discomfort when you’re at the dentist.
What can I expect?
Nitrous Oxide is a colorless gas with a sweet smell. At Dr. Ha & Associates, we’ll help you breathe through a nasal mask and in only a few minutes, you’ll find your fears and anxieties float away while you relax in the dental chair.
Once we finish, we’ll place you on 100% oxygen for a few minutes to clear it out of your system so you’re back to your usual, beautiful self!
How else can I deal with my dental anxiety?
The first thing to do is realize you’re not alone. Most Canadians experience some degree of anxiety or worry over dental visits!
The next thing to do is talk about it. Share your feelings, and you’ll find that visiting the dentist doesn’t have to be unpleasant.
When you book a free, 30 minute consultation with us, we’ll take plenty of time to actually listen to your needs and concerns. It’s an open environment for conversation.
